Router Rebooting Issue
Over the weekend, we received numerous reports from customers experiencing router rebooting issues. The issue has been identified as a targeted attack on SSL services on DrayTek routers.
DrayTek released a security advisory to inform users to update the router firmware to the latest version:
For affected routers, it is recommended that the WAN connection be disconnected first.
This will stop the rebooting issue.
Now disable any SSL services (VPN, remote access)
Disable remote management
Download and install the latest firmware version, which includes the security fix.
DrayTek has not yet provided updated firmware for older model routers over 10 years old and will be working on this. In the meantime, disable all SSL services and remote management for these routers. You can try changing the default SSL port 443 to a different port number and check if this helps.
